Amazing

"We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands."

Although Cory and I adopted last year, we hadn't actually watched an adoption unfold in front of our eyes before (other than our own). Today was the day that Jen and Jason met their precious little Addison. I kept checking their website throughout the morning until there was an update. When I finally saw the pictures of Jen, Jason, and Addison...I melted. It was truly amazing to see the emotions in the pictures and to see how perfect they are for each other. It's as though this little being was created for Jen and Jason's family. Addison is incredibly precious and looks as though she's always been a part of their family. I feel blessed to have been able to witness another family formed through adoption. Isn't adoption beautiful?!?!

Quote of the day...

Right before Jen left for China, she shared this quote with me...isn't it great?!

"Remember, there is no drama that can happen in the present moment--we create drama by regretting the past or worrying about the future, but RIGHT this very second, everything is exactly as it should be. Try taking a really deep breath and just feeling everything that is right with your world for a second...it'll create a little more space for more of that goodness to flow in."

Finished!!!

I'm SO excited!!! We finally finished all of our reapplication homework/paperwork for Paulzine baby #2!!! We wanted to have it all completed a few weeks ago, but things just didn't go as smoothly as planned. One weekend I had the flu all weekend and another weekend we had family get togethers. We went to get fingerprinted at the same place we did a year and a half ago, but their rules had changed. Instead of being able to get fingerprinted any day of the week, now it's only on Wednesday at 11:00 am! CRAZY!!! For some reason, I fail to believe that Murray County Police Officers are all that busy that they can't do fingerprints on more than one day a week for a couple of hours! Oh well, we're just happy to have it done and sent off. We were told it should be to St. Paul by tomorrow. Hopefully, we'll receive a phone call from our social worker by the end of the week!

On another note, Jen and Jason leave tomorrow morning for China!!! They will travel/sight see until Monday...that's when they will finally meet Addison!!! I can't wait!!! God bless you guys! I'll be praying for good weather, safe travels, and for Addison's transition into your family! Take care and we'll see you in 17 days!

Happy Valentines Day!

Pictures

I haven't posted pictures of Allie for a while...it seems as though we've been so busy, we just haven't had a chance to get any good pictures of just her.

Mommy and daddy laugh at me all the time for this...I put things in my mouth (sippy cup, bottle, baby doll) and crawl around the house! Mommy says it's adorable!!!

Hi mommy...I'm awake and I'm ready to play! It just melts mommy and daddy's heart when they come in to get me from my nap and I give them this look!

New Recipe...

Nancy shared this recipe with me and we finally made it tonight...we thought it was great! Just wanted to share!

1 1/2 cups uncooked penne pasta
1 pkg 9 oz fresh spinach leaves
1lb boneless chicken
1 tsp dried basil leaves
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 can diced tomatoes, drained
2 oz philadelphia neufchatel chesse, cubed
1 cup kraft 2% milk shredded mozerella cheese, divided
2 tbsp kraft grated parmesan cheese

Heat oven 375, cook pasta and add spinach to boiling water for last 1 min. Cook and stir chicken and basil on med-high for 3 min. Add spaghetti sauce and tomatoes, bring to a boil. Simmer 3 min, stir in neufchatel cheese. Drain pasta and return to pan. Stir in chicken mix and 1/2 cup mozerella cheese. Cover and bake in 2 quart or 8 inch square baking dish. Bake for 20 min, then sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake another 3 min. Let cool for a few minutes and ENJOY!
