Books, books, and more BOOKS!

I LOVE books and as we've been packing, I've started to realize how many books we really have in Allie's book collection. We must have hundreds of books. Because I'm a teacher (at one time I taught preschool for a year), I can order books pretty cheap from the Scholastic book orders every month and I'm pretty much a sucker for any good books. I thought it might be fun to share some of Allie's favorites, my favorite adoption books, and some books we have in baby E's collection already. I'd love to hear about your favorites!!!

Here are some of Allie's favorite books (most of which she could probably "read" herself):

We also have a small arrangement of adoption related books. Here are a few of my favorites:

I've already started a nice collection of children's books for baby E's library. Here are some of my favorites:

What's your favorite children's book? Do you have any suggestions for baby E's library?

Great post! Maya is really into Fancy Nancy. She loves that book and we read it almost every night before bed. I too love Tell Me Again About the Night I Was Born. Love that book and Maya does too. Great book collection!

Oh, the Fancy Nancy books are wonderful! The words are so fun to read to kids! Did you know there are two new Fancy Nancy books. One for Earth Day and one for Easter?!?!!!
I don't have any for Allie yet, but I'm going to have to get some soon! Thanks for the idea!

Some of my favorites are listed here! Emme is really into Goodnight Moon right now. We just borrowed "Alice the Fairy" from the library and she couldn't get enough of that one! I love David Shannon. Oh and she likes the "Don't Let the Pigeon Ride the Bus" books, especially the Pigeon board books. I am a big Mo Willems fan, so we just borrowed "The Naked Mole Rat gets Dressed", and Emme ended up loving it! Sorry for the long post, I love kid's books, and these are recent ones that we have gotten into!! Emme also loves the Fancy Nancy books, she got one for Valentine's Day, and I must say it is pretty MAGNIFICENT (that is fancy word for great)!
